Fabsterdam is a group of tech enthusiast who love experimenting, hacking and making new stuff. We have been hacking for years, but since we got our 3D printer, we became more and more interested in it, and decided to talk about it on this blog.
We have much more plans for the future, and growing little by little in space and devices. Our goal is to have our own fablab and share our projects with the world.
Right now we have
- a Prusa i3 built from a kit in May 2013, although there are a little original parts left. We added a spool holder, some extra fans and a raspberry pi running octoprint on it. Our most recent addition is the flexystruder, a special extruder for flexible filaments.
- a Prusa P3Steel built also from a kit in June 2014 to which we also added a spoolholder and a fan duct, both printed with that printer.
- a Mini Kossel delta printer, with an E3D hot-end, magnetic rod couplers. The plastic parts are HIPS, printed on our P3Steel.
Where to find us
We are based in Amsterdam and we love to show up at any maker fair close by. We have also set up an Etsy Shop to sell our cute models made with the printers and any other creations we came up with.
For any questions feel free to contact us and we’d be happy to share our enthusiasm with you.
